My eyes challenge you
Do they not?
Challenge you to see beyond the layers
Challenge you to see beyond one color
Challenge you to embrace them all
All the colors
I am an iridescent chameleon
Seeking to hold all the colors close
Wearing them as both protection and as a glorious garment
A beautiful resplendent chain mail
My colors confound those steeped in old traditions
Holding onto ideas that divide and split
In a land of separatism
The color blind are kings
If you can see me, I am amazing to behold
If you can you look outside of yourself
To see another’s heart beating
To understand another’s journey
Then maybe there is still hope
Let my eyes challenge you
To remember this life is temporal
Let your humanity account for something truly good
Revel in the colors, painted on a single canvas
Blended together, overlapping
Where does one start and the other end?
Read my eyes for the message in my colors
My virtual melting pot of color renders me colorless
What color are my eyes?
Does it really matter?
